Cats Eye is a 73 episode long TV series that premiered in 1983. Cats Eye also known as Stephen Kings Cats Eye is a series of three short stories written for screen for actress Drew Barrymore by Stephen King. Three short stories by shock-meister Stephen King are linked by a stray cat that roams from one tale to the next in this creepy.
Cats Eye follows the three sisters Hitomi Rui and Ai Kisugi. The special effects are effective and understated allowing the foreground to be occupied by some of our basic human fears of pain for loved ones of falling from a great height of suffocation. As we approach the novels 30th anniversary its hard to think of many characters who have endured pain like Atwoods.
25 stars out of 4. All three of the stories in Cats Eye depend on special effects. Eye of the Cat was released in 1969 and was directed by David Lowell Rich.
Production values are very good and this transfer does it justice. The third story really throws the movie out of whack. 1 hr 33 mins.
There is quite a bit of creep factor here in a lot of ways. On Metacritic the film has a score of 70 based on reviews from 12 critics. The stories are united by the appearance of a cat as well as Drew Barrymore Everyone Says I Love You Scream the stars of the third and final story.
